The Door Wreath is perfect as a warm welcome at your front door, but also looks great on the wall. This wreath comes with a chic ribbon in a Burgundy or Blush colour to hang it with. The Table Wreath is the perfect centrepiece for the dinner table and comes with four stylish candles of your choice that you can easily insert into the wreath with the matching candle holders. Both wreaths are available in two sizes: 30 or 40 centimetres.

A wreath does not only provide a festive atmosphere, it also upholds a sweet tradition: counting down to Christmas by lighting one candle on every Sunday of Advent. The tradition of the Advent wreath, as we know it today, was introduced by Johann Hinrich Wichern in Northern Germany around 1840.

At that time, Wichern took care of poor children and the children kept asking him when Christmas would be. So Wichern had the brilliant idea to make an Advent wreath from a large wheel with a number of small candles and four large candles. The large candles represented the four Sundays before Christmas, and the smaller candles the days in between. A new candle was lit every day until Christmas. Only twenty years later - around 1860 - did he add fir branches to the Advent wreath. The use of the Advent wreath was even adopted by the Catholic Church around 1920.
